About D.O.G

Australian Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

I'm heartbroken that I have to re-home my 6yo Australian Shepherd. He's really a loving, affectionate and playful companion. He's great with other dogs/cats & people when we're out. Unfortunately he's territoriality aggressive towards strangers at home. He's fine during walks, and we take him to the dog park regularly. He's loves to play fetch, and keep away with his tennis balls, and likes to be chased or play frisbee. He's eager to please and is VERY attentive. I've recently moved to an Urban area after changing jobs. He's lived in a primarily rural setting most of his life. So having neighbors in such close proximity to us is new for him. He's kind of a nervous dog to begin with, and my work hours have increased exponentially and I'm frequently out of town. I've not been able to devote the time working with him that he needs, to train out the terratorial aggression. The aggression has become more of a concern recently since moving to a neighborhood w/ a substantial increase in activity and people he's unfamiliar with. I frequently work late and getting him out for regular walks has been difficult. I'm no longer able to provide the level of exersize that he needs for a dog with his energy level. It's just not an ideal situation, and I fear it may also a be dangerous situation for him, given his aggression towards strangers.
