About Buddy

Buddy is a miniature poodle and approximately 15 lbs. Buddy may be blind but it doesn't stop him from navigating around and jumping up on the couch or bed. Until he gets used to the height he may call for his person to help him get down. Buddy is very mellow but also loves playing and loves children as it's with children that his playful side really comes out. He also loves other dogs but because he is blind will not be placed in a home with any large dogs as he can easily get in their way and bumped and this scares him. Buddy is housebroken and has beautiful house manners. We are looking for a home for Buddy where someone will be home with him most of the time. He has had a history of seizures but the petit kind that may not be noticeable to some. Because they are petit and very infrequent our vet does not want to medicate him for these as the meds have a lot or side effects and are generally used only in more severe cases. In the few months we've had him, he's only had two. However, we were able to recognize the signs and stop them almost immediately by holding him and giving his a little honey and placing an ice pack on his neck. In his previous foster he was reported to having more but they worked all day and did not recognize the signs when they started to know how to stop them. This is why we are looking for someone that is hone most of the time as we feel we have been able to almost completely eliminate them and want it to stay this way.
