[Read About Natural Seizure Care] PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS BIO BEFORE COMPLETING THE APPLICATION. Bruno has had a rough start to life. When we got him, he was covered in ticks, fleas and had to be treated aggressively for worms. After just a few days Bruno suffered 2 seizures at his foster home and we initially thought it might have been all the medications. After the initial incident, he went about 3-4 weeks feeling fine and then had another 4 bad seizures. We have done extensive tests and he is under the cares of veterinarian and a Vet neurologist (as needed). He takes phenobarbital and Keppra (cost is about $30-40 per month) and thankfully has been seizure free since starting his medications. We are currently working to reduce the meds (phenobarbital) in an effort to give this young puppy a bit more energy. He is on a special food (Just food for Dogs) and of course must take medication every day. We are looking for a local home in the Orange County, CA so that he can be close to his vets who know his medical history. Someone who either works from home or is home a lot. He can't be left alone for long periods of time. He must have a back yard or outdoor space to be able to go out often for potty breaks. He does sometimes potty accidents in the home because of the medication. No young children, he does love other dogs so having another dog would be great. Please be mindful that you must cover vet visits and medication and should have the finances to get him the care he will need going forward. He just turned 1 year old and deserves a great life.
