About Rex

Rex came from a family that was living in a fifth wheel with two other French mastiffs, 2 small dogs, and two adults. Rex did have an altercation with one of the other French mastiffs and the owner was bit while trying to break up the fight. At the time Rex was not neutered nor were any of the other dogs and he had never had any altercation before this. We felt due to the close quarters he was living in with so many other dogs and people and none of the dogs being altered that we shouldn't hold this against him and should give him a second chance at life, as we were his option. Rex loves other dogs and children, however, due to his history he will not be placed in a home with children and we will only consider homes with other dogs if the dog is a fixed female. Rex is housebroken. He loves his daily walks and will wait by the door every evening when he knows it's his time for a walk. Rex does warm up to women quicker than he does to men. However, he is currently being fostered by a husband and wife and their adult son and absolutely loves them all. In typical mastiff fashion he can be a little stand of fish with strangers. However, he was a happy wiggle but from the first day I met him, but I am a female. Despite Rex being 2, he still has a lot of puppy energy but has learned that jumping is not ok.
