About Cash

Please read entire description. Cash's adoption fee is $100. We are requiring a physically fenced yard and no other pets in the home. Cash has proven to be an excellent and well loved foster dog, but we had to break the news to him that his beloved foster mama is heading out of state for the semester. Since he hasn't found his forever home yet, Cash will have to return to the kennel very soon. It's kind of breaking our heart. Cash is a 1.5 year old pit mix that weighs in at almost 70 pounds. His first family saved him as a baby in a bad situation. They gave him a safe home for almost a year while bringing him up to date on vetting. As he grew into an adult, he was too much puppy energy for the senior pup in the home. He ended up being rehomed, but then his luck ran out for awhile. He turned up as a stray at the kennel. Life started looking up again. We recognized that he seemed like he would benefit from some inexpensive anxiety medication to get through these upcoming transitions, and it's been a game changer for Cash. He moved into a foster home several months ago and has lived like a king. He LOVES to play fetch in the fenced yard. He cuddles and snuggles on the couch, the oversized bean bag chair, and on his human's bed. He is house trained and crate trained. He's improved walking on a leash, but he is strong and can pull. Cash is good with people, we just recommend older children age 12 and up due to inexperience. Although he is on anxiety medication currently, he doesn't have any destructive tendencies...he's a well behaved house companion. Cash needs to be an only pet. He is not a fan of other dogs and has too much of a prey drive to safely be around cats and small animals. Cash is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. We would love to be able to move Cash into a foster home or adoptive home very quickly to avoid having this sweet pup back at the kennel.
