Baloo came to us from a petting zoo that was shutting down. For more information on this zoo and the conditions surrounding it, you can view this article: https://www.northjersey.com/story/news/sussex/2020/06/29/sussex-petting-zoo-owner-headed-trial-animal-cruelty-charges/3282117001/ We were told Baloo has previously lived in a home and when he grew too big he was brought to the petting zoo to live. When we came to rescue pigs he was the only one who approached us rather than running from us, as if he knew we were there to help. Baloo has been neutered and vaccinated since his arrival and he is doing great with our main herd of pigs. He is timid to start, but once he opens up he loves belly rubs, mud puddles, and cuddles. He would likely be happiest as an outdoor pig, but for an experienced family may be able to be re-acclimated to an indoor life.
