About WILLIAM NEEDS A FRIEND

Sweet William is a very gentle, somewhat submissive boy that can be a bit timid when first meeting new people. After just a couple of minutes of gentleness and a few treats, he is very affectionate and attentive. He can be very insecure with in busy, social settings so he must have an easy going home that doesn't have too many visitors. Calm, country life would be perfect for this boy! William loves other dogs and learns confidence from watching them so he MUST have a medium to large, friendly and playful, balanced dog in the home. He gets a little too interested in the kittie so NO cats for William. He is generally a quiet boy, but he will howl if he's feeling insecure and is left alone for too long. As long as he has his doggy pal with him, he does great on long walks. He is fully crate trained and loves his crate, but he loves a big cushy dog bed, too. William is just about 6.5-7 yrs old and weighs about 65lbs. He must have a 6ft securely fenced backyard and he can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of hours. Becasue he is a timid boy, an adult only home is required.
