Due to Covid 19 - visits to meet our guests are by appointment only until further notice. 541 474-5458 Meet Mrs. Buttersworth We have a new member of our Heartworm Heroes Program: Mrs. Buttersworth! Mrs. Buttersworth is seeking a heartworm hero to give her a second chance. This big girl (100lbs!) is about 3-5 years old. She arrived to our shelter after her owner passed away, so we don't know a lot of information about her previous life. She is a social, confident girl who is a faithful companion and a loyal protector. She likes to bark at strangers from her kennel, but meets them politely with no issues on a leash. Mrs. Buttersworth is pretty bossy with other dogs, so at this time we think she would do best as a solo girl, but we are working on it and maybe a mellow male could be a good companion down the line. She is heartworm positive, but Shelter Friends will help sponsor her treatment! Just give us a call and we'd be happy to explain what becoming a Heartworm Hero is all about. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if a dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet. Current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped.
