About Shandy

***Adoption Pending*** Shandy is a year old, male, Australian Shepard mix(~20lbs). He a super sweet and cuddly dog that is a bit shy when being approached. Once he warms up to you he wants nothing more than to get love and will even try to sit in your lap. He is kennel and house trained. He is curious about cats and gets along well with our boxer. Shandy is doing a lot better with walking on the leash, and we are still working on coming when called. He has been great with the 2 and 6 year old children in his foster home. He will need a nice secure fence. Shandy is UTD on vacc., microchipped, neutered, and kept on monthly flea/tick/hw meds. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Russell, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
