SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA Hi, my name is JOEY ID#A4426531. I am a neutered male, white and black American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since June 8, 2020. I'm very friendly, loving and affectionate. Sadly I am set to be euthanized in a few days. I am mentally struggling in my kennel. It is inhumane for the shelter to keep me here . The stress is starting to really affect my behavior both in and out of my kennel. When I get taken out for walks, I really resist going back in the kennel...do you blame me? My life will be over if I don't get out ...Will you please save my life? When I came into the shelter as a stray in June, I was a friendly boy and had no problems with staff handling me. I have been great with other dogs. I even appropriately greeted and co-existed with a helper dog. I also had a meet and greet with a senior female dog. I didn't do anything bad, but I think I had too much energy for her. I am always loving tail waggin friendly, and I'm good on a leash. I Love to rest my head on your leg, lean in for petting and will follow you! I did get a bit mouthy one day with a handler at the shelter and it turned into an abrasion. This is why I need out ASAP! The stress is becoming to much. How sad that this has happened....I am begging someone to save my life....will you?
