PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable dogs! All dogs listed are still available. If interested, please complete our no obligation application. This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application. 'The Face that Launched a Thousand Ships!!!!' We think she's adorable, don't you? 1 1/2 year old boston terrier/beagle girl, Norrie, is the Queen of the Underbites! You can't help but grin when you see her! She's a great size at 35 lbs and is a beautiful mixture of black & brindle coloring. Norrie sadly hasn't had the best time of it ... she's been abused pretty badly by a man in her past and had severe trust issues when we rescued her from a shelter. But this brave girl has made huge strides! Norrie now comes to sniff new people rather than barking at them in fear. She learns so fast! And she is letting women pet & cuddle her after a few minutes of gentle coaxing so she has time to learn she's safe. Norrie is so much better with men and now approaches them easily but becomes startled & overwhelmed easily in their presence. When she loves, she gives her heart totally;; Norrie is so loyal & devoted to her people. She's come so far in the several months we've had her and will need a quiet, patient & gentle home in which she can continue in her rehabilitation. Norrie is fine with other dogs and is regularly in play yards with a dozen of all ages/sizes/sexes but we think she'd do best as an only dog in her new home. She really craves the one-on-one attention; she's so incredibly eager to please and will thrive with the individual TLC she needs so much. Because of her abusive background & ongoing fear issues, she would not do well in a home with children ... it would be too much for her. Inside, Norrie has the classic Boston Terrier fearless, 'conquer the world', attitude with the huge kisses and love of people just waiting to come out with the right environment. Norrie is great on the leash and in the car; she's very quiet and she's not destructive. She currently uses a doggy door to go outside to 'take care of business'. Who could ask for more? If you'd like to adopt this 'diamond in the rough', please let us know. Norrie's adoption fee is $200; she's spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org .
