Pixie is a 14 week old mixed breed dog from the Reservation. She needs a loving home that will help teach her to boundaries walking on a leash and house manners. Her ideal home would be with adults only that will train her to be a good doggy citizen. She is used to a crate, but needs some continued guidance with house training. She is a dog that may like another dog to play with, but no cats, chickens, or livestock. She would like walks, hikes, or other outdoor activities. We estimate her full size when an adult to be about 60 pounds. We don't know her breed. Many dogs from the Rez are true mutts, with up to 10 different breeds showing up on DNA tests. We are listing her as Husky mix as our best guess. Pixie's adopters will get guidance from our trainer as how to best help her reach her full potential. Pixie is up to date on her vaccines. She will likely become a great dog with consistency and some assistance from us humans. PACA is a foster based rescue with no shelter to view our dogs. We have temporarily stopped all our public adoption events due to COVID-19, however we are still placing dog into loving homes by private appointment with approved applications. Completed applications will be given to the foster to coordinate meetings as everyone feels comfortable. This application helps us get to know you and your family a little better so we can find the perfect match! Application are found here: http://nmpaca.org/images/pdf_files/PACA_Adoption_Application.pdf Please email completed applications to [email protected] All our animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for tic born illness and heartworm prior to adoption. Our fee is $175.
