About Pekoe in Sherman

**Courtesy Post** Pekoe is a sweet, loving, Jack Russell Terrier. This 12 year old, 16 pound little girl is healthy and loves a brisk walk on a leash, an exuberant run around the yard, or playing fetch with a tennis ball. Inside, she's the calmest JRT you've ever met. Extremely well mannered, she never chews or jumps up...she just loves to couch potato in your lap or a soft bed. She's never met a stranger, but can be a little shy with tall men. She sits quietly in a seat or crate for car rides, and she'll patiently stand still for a bath and grooming. She's busy learning all her commands, and walks well on a leash. She is house trained, knows how to use a doggy door, micro-chipped, spayed, up to date on shots and just had a dental cleaning. Her adopter must be experienced with JRT's and have a securely fenced yard...no electronic fencing and no wrought iron...she will get out. Pekoe is good with male dogs but requires a home with no cats and no children under 10 years old. She needs lots of exercise everyday and an owner who understands her terrier personality. She would do best in a quiet household as an only dog or with a male dog. A virtual home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt her. There is a small rehoming fee. Her adopter must be able to drive to the Dallas/Fort Worth or Sherman/Gainesville, Texas area to get her.
