Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: 8/4/20 Friendly On exam dog is QAR, euhydrated, BCS 5/9. Dog has patchy alopecia and rat tail alopecia with scaling dermatitis. P3/4, G1/3. Dog has stiff HLs and ataxic gait. soft fatty deposits/lipomas palpated on abdomen Alopecia- RO endocrine (cushings or hypothyroid) Stage 3 perio Spinal trauma vs. IVDD vs. other recommend rescue by end of stray hold- recommend T4-ED and/or low dose dex suppression as well as a CBC/Chem to further assess. Rx: carprofen- 25mg- 1/2 PO BID x10d 08/05/20 09:52 Pet is sweet able to handle fine. He has sensitive area of consern, so handle with care. Otherwise pet is nice. He has leg issues so he is not playful. KV
