About Milo

**PLEASE READ MILO'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING** Meet Milo! This adorable boy is Charlie's brother, and Gia's son. This cute family came to us when their owner got overwhelmed with dogs after using Gia to breed over and over for nothing more than profit. He surrendered all of the dogs to us and we are now trying to find homes for all three. Milo is an almost 2 year old male Shih Tzu / Maltese /Terrier mix that is about 18lbs. Milo CANNOT be an only dog. Our ideal home and first choice will be for Milo and Charlie to be adopted together. This will be ideal because these boys have anxieties and being together will make the transition a lot easier. We are only looking for a home that is dog savvy (no first time dog owners please) and can work with these boys on making them the best they can be. These dogs are not easy and require a lot of patience and work. They are very strong and fast and because of this, they cannot go into a senior home. We will be requiring their new owners to set up 3 dog training sessions with our trainer to help them with their issues. These boys can be a flight risk and can easily jump a 2 1/2 ft fence/gate so we will be requiring a minimum of a 4ft gate/wrap pen at the front door, regardless if you have a secure screen door. This will help prevent them from escaping and darting out when the front door is opened. This is a must and will be contractual. They are not good in the car or on leash and that's also where the trainer will come in handy. This sweet family was kept in a garage 24/7 with no socialization whatsoever, so it's not wonder they are anxious and insecure. Milo and Charlie need an adult only home with little traffic going in/out and owners who are not gone long hours. They DO NOT do well when they are left alone. We want to make sure we have the right fit when we adopt these boys out, so we will be requiring at least 2-3 meet/greets with them before deciding to start a trial period. They are both sweet boys who deserve only the best and that's what we are looking for. WE ONLY ADOPT IN LOS ANGELES AND SURROUNDING AREAS AS A HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED.
