About Kobe

This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. To know him is to LOVE him!!!! 6-7 yr old, 50 lb, beagle/hound mix ... KOBE!!! When with him, you will want to start singing 'Walking on Sunshine' at the top of your lungs ... because that's what it's like when you are with him. He is always happy & upbeat; he never has a bad day. Kobe is an easygoing, charismatic boy who charms everybody ... two legged & four legged. He's even gotten himself a fan club in his foster mom's neighborhood; all his friends can't resist coming out to say 'hi' when Kobe's on his daily jaunts. His love of life & happy-go-lucky air rubs off on all who encounter him; it's impossible to be sad or grumpy when Kobe's around! You'd never know that he had been abandoned by the side of a road, unable to walk; the vet said his paralysis has existed for a long time as Kobe does have muscle atrophy in his hind quarters. But he's sure bulked up in the front! This guy is 'Speed Racer' and woe to the bunny who doesn't skedaddle quickly! Kobe could win some races despite his handicap! And when not in his wheelchair, he is able to maneuver around quickly as well. If interested in adopting this phenomenal boy, we do recommend that you do research on caring for paralyzed dogs as he will require someone who can lift him as well as help in expressing his bladder. But Kobe is so easy and he enjoys being handled so it's a breeze with this social butterfly! Applications for Kobe are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org .
