About Chico

Hi, I'm Chico! I'm a 4 year old Shihtzu/yorkie mix and I weigh around 15 pounds. Unfortunately I was returned after 3 years due to change in circumstances. I was completely heartbroken and shut down. I'm finally coming out of my shell so my foster mom hopes to find my forever home before I get to attached again. My ideal home would be a family who loves having a little shadow following them around the house. I love my people and I wanna go where you are. Im sure once I feel even more comfortable I will be even more affectionate. I'm still working on house training.. I'm not a fan of grass but I know how to use a pee pee pad. I tolerate other dogs but I was use to being the only child. I can get a little jealous when I have to share attention. As soon as my foster mom tells me how impolite that is I change my attitude. It's all new to me, sharing is caring she says! I think I do pretty good around kids but I don't like when they try to pick me up so maybe kids who are old enough to understand my boundaries. What I hope more than anything is a family who understands I need time to adjust. I lost the only family I ever knew and it hasn't been easy on me. Give me some patience and understanding..
