Vet Info: His owner shares with us, 'He developed glaucoma in his right eye at 6 months old and has just recently developed glaucoma in his left eye leaving him visually impaired. His eyes need care with eye drops, veterinary care, and possible removal. He will acclimate to his condition well as he is so young!' Smoke is not neutered. He has had his rabies vaccine. He did have a heartworm test that was negative. According to his owner, 'Smoke had his vaccinations and had a reaction to the DHHP vaccine. I did not give him other vaccines after that episode. He has received his rabies vaccination.' He is in good health otherwise. Smoke weights around 70 lbs. Owner Info: Smoke is an indoor dog who is crated. He is house trained and leash trained. He knows several commands including, 'sit, paw/shake, lay down, high five, speak.' He is good with men, women, kids, other dogs, and animals. He is never aggressive with people and is not possessive of toys, treats, or food. His owner told us, 'Smoke is housebroken and gets along with everybody he meets! He loves to please! He knows how to sit, lay down, give paw on both hands, high five, speak and heel when walking. He is trained to sit and wait for other dogs to come up to him. He knows where to go to lay down in the house during quiet time. He loves going to the dog park, playing fetch, and tugging on the rope. He is great in the car. He puts his head out the window when it's safe or otherwise lies down and chills.' Smoke's owner feels he will adapt well to new situations and tells us that 'Smoke is able to see out of his left eye only and has adapted to getting around. I am concerned about his future' His owners want us to know, 'I adore Smoke but am unable to provide him with the home he deserves at this time, in terms of finances and stability. It is difficult but I feel that I am doing the right thing by looking for Smoke's perfect home. Whoever adopts Smoke will be fortunate as he is a loving and loyal dog.' **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
