About Duke

We got Duke from a breeder at 10 weeks , to have as a family dog. He is obviously a beautiful dog and has a very attractive coat and eyes, as most Catahoulas do, but Duke has unfortunately became more than our family can handle. We have made this very hard decision in letting him go, but only if we can find him the right home. He has been a little too difficult for our family but could be a great joy for another one. We see so much potential that we recently enrolled him in a 5 week Board and Train. (Where he has been since July 22nd and will be until August 27th) We have done everything we can to train and get him to be the dog our family wanted, but he was a little too wild for our lifestyle. Him going to training was a last resort, in hopes of keeping him. During the process of signing him up and getting him in, we got ourselves in a position where we most likely wont be able to provide him with the time and space he needs, after this 5 week board and train. We knew about the time we enrolled him, that we may not get him back, but we still decided to pay for him to get the training he deseperately needed, so that his new owner could work with him. Were looking for someone with time on their hands to work with this dog. Please only call if you are home most of the day and have space for him to run. He needs to be around his family and/or other dogs. Someone who hunts could benefit from him and/or someone who can work him on a daily basis... Maybe a farm? These dogs need a job. They are every smart... If you dont have 3 hours a day (minimum) to spend with him, then dont get yourself in the position we did. Please contact if you're interested.
