About Felix

Pal's Place would love to introduce you to Felix, one of our newest and sweetest rescues! Felix was rescued from an overburdened, open-intake animal control facility in rural Kentucky. We don't know much about his past, but Felix appears to be a Hound/Shepherd mix and is estimated to be about 3 years old and he weighs in around 45 pounds. He is a very very sweet, gentle, unassuming, and mild-mannered boy that will make a great companion for a family looking for a quiet and good-natured boy. Felix can be quite timid when meeting new people and in new situations but he warms up after some kind words and a few treats. Once he warms up, he is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and give gentle kisses. Felix's ideal home will be a more quiet one with patient guardians who can give him all the time, patience, and love he needs to adjust to a new environment. He is crate trained and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. He is in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after an adoption application has been completed and approved. Due to COVID-19, many of our veterinarians have restricted access to non-emergency services. As a result, we have not been able to have some of our dogs spayed/neutered prior to being placed with fosters, including Felix. With many other shelters and rescues closing down, we want and need, to continue to save lives. For a limited time, intact dogs may be available to adopt on a foster-to-adopt basis, dependent on the adopter's location and ability to travel to our partner clinics when they are fully operational. For this reason, we are only considering local adoptions for Felix (Chicagoland area/neighboring suburbs) with the understanding he will need to be returned to Pal's Place for his neuter appointment in September. Felix's adoption fee is $375. This fee covers the cost of his neuter, initial vaccines, microchip, and initial de-worming. �'ۢFelix's adoption fee is $375. This donation helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare him for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the animals in our rescue.
