About

Adoption Fee: $60
Bengal / Abyssinian
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Catfish Clyde is a handsome brown silver and black short hair male approx. 8yr. His adoption fee is $60. He has been vetted and neutered. He is great with everybody and everything! Nice cats, nice calm dogs and nice older kids. He does need a four-footed friend in his new forever home. Sadly, many people move and leave their pets behind. They are then found scavenging by the dumpsters and hopefully a nice animal loving person will save them. That is Clyde's story. He is safe now, happy and thriving. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, especially older kitties, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed for a few days. After his adjustment period he is one laid back cat, literally just a sack of potatoes. He is not into play much, but seeks out human companionship and will want to be near his people. He is the easiest going kitty, expects nothing. He is not easily startled, he is so relaxed, very nonchalant. He is not in your face needy, and does not like to be held but he wants to be near, on and lay by his people. He is clean and tidy and a real love. He has a slight limp and the vet confirmed he has a sprained rear leg which will heal with time. It is tender but he does fine. Vet said no jumping for now which rescue foster mom had to laughed. She hasn't seen him get rowdy enough to jump since she rescued him :) He may like interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. He loves kitty treats, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. He will expect to share your bed. He has been free fed quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and gets up to a can of Fancy Feast morning and night. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, love and an inside home ADOPT Catfish Clyde FOR LIFE! CNPS text 602-332-6615 email [email protected] REMEMBER WHEN YOU ARE ADOPTING A PET YOU ARE ADOPTING A FAMILY MEMBER FOR LIFE! THEY ARE NOT THROW AWAY TOYS! WHEN YOU MOVE YOU TAKE YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR BELONGINGS, YOUR PETS. IT'S A LIFE, A COMMITMENT TO THE END. If you need any type of help with an animal this is a great place to start.
