About Kody

Kody is a beautiful 87 lb. 1 year old unneutered male puppy. His mom is a black German Shep & dad is a Belgian Mal. Kody is current on all shots; house trained; crate trained; rides well in the car; and gets along with our cat-often following said cat around to play-much to the cat's annoyance. Kody likes to play with other dogs of same size & is baffled by smaller dogs - but not dog aggressive. He has lots of energy and enjoys being outside. He should have a fenced in yard with room to run. He loves to play field hockey! Kody lives with a family of 2 adults and 12 & 14 year old girls. He does well on a leash but is inclined to pull especially when headed home. His one issue is that he does not like being told no and will growl loudly about it. He did bite the mom of the family when out walking one day after refusing to listen. We consulted a dog trainer who says that we can train him to stop this behavior. However we don't have the time and money to devote to training due to financial issues caused by the pandemic. Overall Kody is a good dog with a big heart who loves belly rubs and playing tug with his family. But he requires training that we are just unable to provide for him with everything happening in the world right now. If you adopt him he will come with his own crate that he sleeps in at night, favorite toys, food, flea/tick & heartworm meds and shot record.
