About Roxy

Roxy is all that! An 11 month old, presumed Shiba Inu mix- maybe some boston in there, weighing 24 pound of bouncy love. Currently in foster - this is what her foster mom has to say about her. 'The first half hour was especially shy and statue like. But she came out of shell so quickly. Gets on with dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments. Even the snotty little chihuahua who sometimes will get in her face, she just says, 'you don't want to play, well fine then', and walks away. She loves to play with other dog, toss her toys, chase and fetch balls and especially likes her marrow bone. But she is also content to occupy herself with playing as well. She is not much of a barker- but will bark at new people who come to the house. She was surrendered by people who said she had a high prey drive; we are not seeing this. She ignores the cat, doesn't bother chickens-although they are secured and not free roaming. She loves to snuggle with her person, but is perfectly content in her own bed or on the sofa. What needs work- is her leash manners. She does not like to leash up. So this is something her new family would have to teach her and make her more comfortable with. She travels nicely in the car. She has perfect potty manners. Her spay appointment is August 6th. She is fully vaccinated and micro chipped. So she can join her new family after this date. Please tell my guardian advocate about your family, activities, other pets and family members, your home, the city in which you live- and your expectations of your future companion and what he/she may expect from you. My advocate is very firm on being provided this information. If you do not - she will not reply to your inquiry. Consider your inquiry your pre-application. This means- tell us why you should be at the top! There is a reasonable placement fee to offset medical and care. Please give a day or two for a response while she reviews inquiries.
