Jake must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER by Saturday, August 1st, 5:30 PM. Should Jake's medical status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Jake urgently needs to leave because he has presented with multiple masses, one of which is likely cancerous. He appears uncomfortable while walking and likely has arthritis. He requires thoracic radiographs should be performed for metastasis check. Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other 'TBD' statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. Behavior Observation: (7/23) Vet Staff -- Nervous, able to examine with restraint (7/23) Staff -- in kennel laying on bed sleeping. Handler talks to dog to see if he wants to go outside. Dog lifts head but does not stand or approach handler. Uninterested in getting up to go out. Handler gets a treat and moves to the side of the kennel the dog is on to give him a treat, dog low growls. Interaction ended. (7/22) Previous Owner -- Protective, Aggressive to people, fights with dogs, food aggressive, keep him away from kids, Aggression to dogs , never been around cats, becomes territorial when people knock on the door. Doesn't pull, walks well on the leash. Good listener and knows sit and stay. Please give Jake a chance a nice quiet place !! Nobody has come and tomorrow he dies Aug 1st.
