About Willow

Adoption Fee: $50.00
Maine Coon / Domestic Cat
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Willow is a very affectionate girl. She likes to be where you are and enjoys spending time sitting in your lap watching television. She uses two litter boxes which must be kept clean all the time. She has an occasional weepy left eye that should be wiped with a baby wipe on occasion. Tried medication for the eye but nothing worked. This is not a constant but an occasional problem. Willow is on a strict diet of Hills Science Diet R/D dry food. This food costs about $40 for a 15 lb bag and will last her about 1 1/2-2 months. SHE MUST BE ON THIS FOOD, NO EXCEPTIONS! She has very fine, long hair and must be brushed almost daily to keep it looking good and avoid excessive shedding. She loves to be brushed! She is shy about having her nails trimmed so patience will be needed, along with handling her feet all the time. We are looking to rehome her as she does not interact well with our first cat. We have had her for about two years and things have not improved so we must find her another home, preferably with no other cats. She does tolerate our two West Highland Terriers although she is not affectionate toward them. She is a medium size Maine Coon mix, weighing about 12 lbs. If you are unable to afford her food or the time to brush her and work with nail trimming this is not the cat for you. Willow will go to her new home with about a months supply of her food. She is allowed outside supervised expeditions, she is using a flea treatment.
