About Lacy

Meet Lacy! Age: 8 months. Breed: we were told border collie mix. Our vet thinks some english setter in there? Size: 50lbs; we think she will be about 65-70lbs. Training: crate, leash, and doing well with house training. She does best on a harness. Lacy is deaf so she doesn't know any commands yet. She is very food motivated and eager to learn! Good with dogs/cats? Yes. Good with men/women/kids? Yes, although she may be too active for small children when she gets excited. Personality: Lacy is very friendly, affectionate, playful, but also loves to relax and cuddle. Reason for rescue: Lacy's owner took her to the vet and requested she be euthanized due to 'aggression' and seizure like behavior. Lacy has been in our foster home for over a month without any issues at all, other than learning that Lacy cannot hear. Our vet confirmed that she is deaf but otherwise healthy. She has also not had any kind of seizure behavior. Sometimes humans make up reasons to feel less guilty about their decisions, and we definitely feel this is the case with Lacy. She has shown ZERO aggression, and while her owner claimed she had episode-like seizures, the owner never realized she was deaf! Lacy is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Lacy would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and another dog.
