This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. Meet 1 year old border collie/lab Luther! He's got the wiggle butt & wagging tail of a lab but has the wit & energy of a border collie. Luther would excel in a home where he got lots of activity & stimulation; he would be a whiz in obedience training! And we bet he would be a natural in agility courses! Luther needs to be kept busy, mentally & physically. He is good with other dogs and enjoys games of chase as well as tug of war. But he is definitely 'top dog' so wouldn't do well with another dominant dog. Luther is super smart & eager to please as well as submissive with people. He was confiscated along with 50 other dogs in the raid of a drug house. Despite his difficult background, he's really pretty confident. Once in awhile, he exhibits a little timidity with new people but overcomes his fear quickly. Gentle training and structure as well as patience will surely help him develop into the wonderful, outgoing boy which is his true nature. He will absolutely require a 5 foot fenced in yard in his new home as he can easily scale anything shorter. He is a true athlete! If you'd like to adopt handsome Luther, please let us know!
