About Jerry

Jerry was breaking our hearts on Saturday. He is in need of some serious TLC. He has scars on his legs that appear to be from a rope or wire. We are thankful that he seems to be doing better since he's been in the shelter, but he would greatly benefit from a foster home or rescue to continue his healing journey. Jerry did well with other dogs but gets very nervous when his space is invaded too much. He wasn't aggressive, but immediately cowered. We would recommend a slow introduction to other dogs. Jerry did not react to the cats nearby. Jerry is currently a resident at Vermilion Parish Animal Control. He will be vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped upon placement in an adoptive or foster home. To adopt, complete the adoption application at AAVArescue.com.
