About Gemma

Hi! I'm Gemma, I'm a 5-year-old weighing in at around 70lb as a American Staffordshire mix. Many people say my brindle coloring is a show stopper and who I am I to say otherwise? Due to a whole slew of unfortunate situations, I am looking for a new furever home. My current mom and grandma love me to pieces but due to new health situations with my current mom, my living arrangements are no longer working. While I have lived with dogs before, I would ideally like a home without other dogs or with dogs who can be patient with me. In the past, when my current mom and I lived in California, I was attacked by another dog. Since then, I am scared when I see other dogs and react towards them. Since there are so many dogs at the condo complex where Grandma and my current mom live on top of the ongoing health issues my current mom is having, caring for me has become difficult. Which is heartbreaking news for them, but great news for you because now we can be family too! A fenced in yard would be great too! A few fast facts about me: I love cuddling, hands down it my favorite thing in the world. Can you win a gold medal in that? Cause I definitely would win one every time. I am great with kids and think that they are the bees knees. I'm medium energy and am pretty much down for any adventure. The heat tires me out pretty quick, but romping in the snow is awesome. My ideal day would be some snuggles, a nice walk, some more snuggles, sharing some treats together (extra bonus if it's peanut butter), a game of tug, and then some more snuggles as we settle in for our nightly snooze together.
