About Rocco

Rocco is a very special boy and he needs an extra special adopter. Rocco was originally surrendered to the shelter in Miami, Florida, January 2018, by his previous owner. He was just a year old. He was being deemed 'Mouthy' and was given a date to be euthanized, and we stepped up to rescue him. He had since been adopted into a loving family, and received advanced training. Fast forward to March 2020, Rocco had been displaying protective behavior when the family received guests into their home, and because of many young children being in the large family they thought it best to surrender him back to us. Rocco would do great with an adopter who has few to no visitors, and is looking for a loyal companion. Maybe an older person, or a couple who are looking for a dog for protection. Rocco has had extensive training and knows how to place, sit, lay down, and give paw. Rocco is also walks very well on the leash, and wouldn't mind an owner who is active or who likes to throw the ball around. Rocco is a very sweet, friendly, and playful boy. Because of his past he can experience some anxiety, and be protective of his owner around too much stimulation such as parties, or gatherings at the home which is why he needs a calm, quiet environment. Rocco deserves a home environment, but it must be the right home for him. Please consider making Rocco your companion.
