About Wally

Wally is a 10 year old Shih Tzu mix looking for his forever home. Now... I know that we've had a few people asking about smaller dogs, so I want to let you know a bit about Wally before you decide to meet him. He is a total sweetheart, but he is going to take a bit of extra love (and probably a little extra money) to make sure that he stays fit and healthy. You can see in the first photo that he has the beginnings of cataracts. He also recently had 16+ teeth removed during dental surgery (meaning that he will need a combination of wet food with his dampened kibble), as well as having his gums trimmed. We are unsure about Wally's future gum health, so that is something that you will need to be committed to having monitored. Other than that, Wally is a pretty healthy little guy who really just wants to be held and snuggled. He would make a fabulous companion for an older person who just wants a pal to hang out with. Or... a more quiet, calm home where he knows what to expect and can feel safe. Wally would be very content with short walks out to potty.... and then back in to snuggle with his favorite person. Wally is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested negative for heart worms, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $100. He will be adopted into the right home, not necessarily the first person interested. Wally is located at the Harrison County Humane Society of Iowa in Logan, IA.
