About Rose

Adoption Fee: $250
Great Pyrenees / Lab
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet a SNIPSA fave, Rose! This gorgeous girl has come along while being in SNIPSA's care. In fact, Rose has been with us since February. She arrived nursing 10 puppies at only 50 pounds-severely underweight and suffering from hair loss due to mange. Rose's first day in foster care with her pups, she was so terrified of people that she hoped the five foot fence the first chance she got. It took us a day but we were thankfully able to find her and bring her back. It was then decided that Rose needed a very experienced foster who would be able to work with her daily. Since her puppies were already a solid 15 pounds each and no longer needing to nurse on her, Rose headed on home with SNIPSA's own vet tech. For weeks, Rose hid in a corner and shook at even the smallest of sounds and movements. But her foster continued to work with her, even bringing her to work with her everyday to get Rose acclimated to others.%A0 Fast forward six months and Rose has put on a healthy 20 pounds, has a beautiful soft white coat, plays well with her foster siblings-both dogs and cats, and enjoys her evening walks through the neighborhood! Now, half a year later, Rose is finally ready to find her very own forever home.%A0 Of course, knowing Rose's personality, there will be an adjustment process in her new home so her new potential adopter's need to be aware of that. Rose will need a home with an experienced dog owner when it comes to acclimating to keep her safe. A tall, fully fenced in yard is required for Rose's safety. As much as she loves her evening walks, that will need to wait until she feels fully comfortable with you and knows that you are her person. Rose is the absolute sweetest girl you will meet and she never wants to get in trouble-the girl literally LIVES to make you happy. Once she feels at home, you will not find a more loyal, well-behaved dog than Rose. She is always on her best behavior-fully house trained, leash trained, and has never needed to be crated. She will happily relax on the cool tile floor all day while waiting for your arrival home. Having another furry companion is a plus for Rose as she will come out of her shell faster and loves to play with others but it is not required as humans are her first love. Rose gets along well with kids-she is truly just a cuddle bear with nothing but love to give. She just needs that understanding, loving family. Want to be the best part of Rose's rescue story?
