Hi, my name is WARLOCK ID#A4438143. I am a neutered male, black Rottweiler and Lab mix. The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old, and I have been at the shelter since about July 4, 2020. I am scheduled to be put down in the next coupdl of days. I'm complicated but not impossible!! I am not displaying good behavior at the shelter. I have growled stiffened and was snappy once with staff when out of my kennel in the yard. Here is what I will need: Assessment, Training (lifelong plan if we raise enough in pledges ) and a PROPER home with an experienced handler (person who has dealt with and has knowledge of my behavior concerns). I might need more work than the average dog, but if we set me up for success, then I can live and won't be put down...I just need guidance and the right people to help me succeed... are you the one whom can save me? I have not displayed the best behavior in or out of my kennel. But a volunteer indicated that after she sat in front of my kennel I softened and became friendly. I took treats nicely too. I am scared, lacking confidence and the shelter is stressing me out. Again, I can only go to a place whom understands me and helps me decompress and feel better about my surroundings. I will need an assessment for starters and then what ever the trainer recommends. The shelter is recommending that a 'rescue' pulls me. We have a rescue, but we need the experienced foster (handler) and the trainer ( we have one). I might be a challenge....but it's either we all try to help save me, or I will be put to sleep....I do not want to be put down!!
