About Nash

Hello! We rescued Nash in January on the day before euthanasia. We were his last chance because the shelter didn't have the time to get to know him and because of his size (28in at withers) was afraid of him. Once we got him home we realized what an outstanding dog he is, but our intention never was to keep him permanently. My apartment complex has a strict breed restriction and they finally caught up with me. I just couldn't bare to leave him there to die that day... Nash is 2 1/2 years old, his birthday is Valentines Day! He is 100 % housebroken, does not chew, no separation anxiety. He is wonderful with children, my 8 year old can take his bone away and he wags his tail! He may be a bit big for small children, he is just so big that he doesn't understand his size or strength sometimes, fyi his tail can clear a coffee table or give your leg a sting if he's happy to see you! He WANTS to love our cat, but the cat is more interested in torchuring him (typical cat). I did introduce them slowly though so fyi. He is very smart and eager to please and extremely playful :) Will play ball until he falls over.His absolutely only issue is that he does not like other dogs.. i don't know what happened in his past but he needs a fenced yard and to be the only dog. Maybe with some professional training sessions this could be worked on. And if you are wondering about protection, he is BIG and naturally protective. He KNoWS his job! But in the house he is a big baby that wants to lay in your lap, very goofy and talkative. We are looking for his forever loving home.
