About Cagney and Lacey

Meet Cagney and Lacey! We lovingly call them 'Two Broke Girls' as they were so broken when they came to us. They are 3 yr old poodles from a puppy mill. They are a bonded pair! Cagney had a major surgery for an intestinal blockage. She has made a great recovery. These girls had a terrible start in life and will need very patient owners. They definitely need to stay together. They are getting better with potty training but this is still a work in progress. They do need a secure fenced yard as they are still working on walking on a leash. They are timid and fearful of people. They are interested in joining the family and very curious but still a little timid. They will follow you around to see what's going on. They are coming out of their shell, this will just take some time. They do sleep in a crate together at night and when they are unsupervised for periods of time. Due to their start in life, they do need to be supervised as they will eat inappropriate items. They are starting to chew on bones so this is getting better but we keep an eye on them due to the previous blockage issue. They love to eat and are very food motivated. While this sounds like a lot of challenges - they are super sweet and will be a great addition to the right family. They do get along with other dogs. I would recommend only one other dog if any in the house. These girls would do best in a quiet home where their humans are primarily home with them. These girls need a chance to live a great life! They will reward you with love and you will be so lucky to watch them bloom into amazing pups! Bonded pair will not be separated. Must have physical fence! Email [email protected]
