Piper's contact tells us she is up to date with vaccines and is heartworm negative, but this has not yet been confirmed. Piper weighs about 60 pounds. Piper is completely blind due to cataracts. Her contact writes, 'foster took her for an eye exam and the specialist said that she is not a candidate for surgery.' Owner Info: Piper is a gorgeous girl who was saved from a shelter a few months ago. Her foster dad is having major surgery in less than two weeks, and will be unable to care for Piper after his surgery. They are desperately looking for somewhere for Piper to go within the next week. They have tried posting in several places and reaching out to other rescues, but have not yet had any luck. Piper is an outdoor dog with a fenced yard. She is housebroken and leash trained. Piper's contact tells us she is good with men, women, and older children, and male and female dogs. Piper is not possessive with toys, treats or food, but her contact writes that she sometimes gets scared because she is blind, and may growl. She has never bitten or snapped. Piper's contact is desperate to find her a safe and loving place to go. 'I only have 9 days to find her a foster , I am running out of time.' **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
