About Ruger

Ruger is about four years old, 40 pounds, a Pug Beagle mix, who is affectionate and playful. He was adopted as a puppy by a young couple with infants. Soon after, Atlas (about 8 years old now and 75-80 pounds) was found stray and never reclaimed, so he was part of the family too. But the family hit hard times, and so both Ruger and Atlas came (back) to the rescue. They are being fostered by a lovely retired friend. I would LOVE to see them adopted together. They are NOT good with cats. They love people and other dogs. Ruger can be a little protective if he has a treasured bone. They require a well fenced yard. Ruger has been known to dig out. The rescue is willing to come and provide protective fencing along the fence-line to make it Ruger-proof.
