(5/24) Per Staff -- Comes to the front of the kennel and hard barks, will quickly retreated when the kennel door was opened (tail tucked, piloerect, ears back, eye dialted). Was able to coax to the front of the kennel with treats and leash her using treats. On leash she is very nervous and darts in front while pulling very hard. In the yard she sniffs the perimeter and avoids the assessor. Eventually she approached and allows light petting on her head and side. Does not approach assessor without encouragement. Settles in office. (5/23) Per Staff -- Comes to front of kennel when approached and will hard bark, but if offered treats will take them gently. Will begin barking again if handler steps to next kennel. Attempted to remove from kennel, however, Cola became very nervous and stiff, backed away and began hard barking. Could not be encouraged to come forward. Ended interaction. (5/21) Per Staff -- Attempted to remove from kennel. Cola is unable to be removed. He growls on approach. He air snaps as kennel door is opened and again as leash as presented. Unable to leash safely. (5/15) Per Owner -- protective, sensitive, playful, protective of home, great with children, good with owners cat, sit, stop, go, bit a stranger on 5-14-20, the dog bit the owner's neighbor. The man was walking by the home with his dog and started coming up the driveway. The screen door was slightly open, so the dog pushed through and tried to approach the other dog. The man got in between them, and tried to push Cola away, so Cola bit the man's hand. The bite was not severe, causing very very minimal bleeding. The owner says the dog has never ever bitten anyone before, but is protective over her home and family and will bark at strangers.
