About Chief

Catahoula mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Chief's owner is being deployed and unfortunately can not take his baby with him. We are helping him to find a new home him. Chief is a Catahoula leopard dog mix. He's 7 months old, about 45lbs, and still very much a playful puppy. He's good around kids, he lived with a 3 year old for 4 months. He interacts great with other dogs and never bites or nips anybody or any dog. He is double coated so he tends to shed a lot in the summer. He loves playing fetch or tug of war. He's somewhat leash trained but still needs work. He can sit, lay down, and listens when you tell him no. He hardly barks at all unless you get him excited and is currently an apartment dog. He is potty trained but not crate trained. He will be neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Tulsa, OK. To apply to adopt please visit www.handsofhoperescue.com/adoptapp. No phone calls please. All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Tulsa, OK and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
