Hi, my name is ONYXX - ID#A4391626. I am a neutered male, white and brown merle Catahoula Leopard Hound mix. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jun 21, 2020. Onyxx has icey blue eyes that'll melt your heart. As a Catahoula Leopard Dog, Onyxx has a striking appearance and somewhat independent personality that make him stand out from the crowd! He's a big guy, weighing in at around 80lbs. He seems to have a moderate energy level, so he would love to go for walks and will do best in a home that will provide regular exercise to help him stay fit. He's around five years old, and knows how to sit on cue and would be happy to learn anything else you want to teach him (preferably in exchange for treats). Onyxx has been easily over-excited with other dogs and can be very picky about interacting with other dogs, so he would prefer to be the only dog in your home at this time. He may also do best in a home with no small children. Onyxx enjoys getting attention, especially shoulder rubs, and has been very friendly about meeting new people here at the shelter!
