About Sandy

Meet Sandy! This sweet and gentle girl came to The Crossings Animal Society (CAS) from MAMAS shelter in SC. Sandy is a hound mix about 4 years old and approximately 40 lbs. She had become fast friends with her transport volunteers and didn't hesitate to get out of the car with them to greet everyone upon arriving at CAS. She politely approached us all individually with her friendly smile seeking praise and petting. Sandy gets along well with other dogs, as she regularly plays with dogs of all ages/sizes. Although she is a submissive girl, we don't have experience or knowledge as to how she gets along with cats or small children. It seems that Sandy has spent little or no time at all in a home, and will need some basic training. She loves being outdoors running and playing. Although she has a somewhat docile nature, Sandy obviously appreciates getting love and affection from humans and returns their gestures with her hugs. Sandy will make a great addition to a family with or without another dog(s).
