'Hiya! My name is Rubix and I'm your new snuggle buddy. I've been stuck at this shelter for too long already and would really to find a ... furever home, whatever that it. I am estimated to be about 3 years old and came to SVASC from a hoarding situation. I am one of around 30 kitties that came to the shelter for a fresh start; hopefully you can help me with that? Because of my previous home, I am pretty shy. I wasn't handled much, if at all and am still getting used to being around people, but I am really coming around. I love to sit in your lap and get pats. Once I get comfortable in my home, I really think that being a lapcat sounds ideal. Like I said earlier, I am pretty skittish at first and so transitioning to a new home might be hard for me. SVASC is happy to give pointers and to assist in the acclimation period for me. I did previously live with several other cats and do feel that I would be happiest in a home with another confident kitty, but it isn't a requirement. I previously lived with kids and dogs, but since I'm timid, I think that I would do best in a calmer home without a lot of hustle and bustle. My adoption fee is $35 to an approved adopter.
