About Holly

Meet Holly! She is a 4 year old, 23lb female Beagle. She is a petite beagle that came from a rural shelter where she was turned in by her owner with 10 other beagles. She came to us as a feral dog and needed LOTS of tlc and patience in order to overcome her excessive fear of a healthy, normal day to day routine. She's come a long way but still needs to make progress to become a 'normal' dog with healthy social skills. She's being fostered in a home with kids, a cat and other dogs and she does wonderful with everyone. She also attends doggie daycare regularly and has shown so much improvement from that. While she does enjoy being around people, she LOVES being around other dogs so having at least one other dog in her future home will be a requirement. Another dog will also help to continue pulling her out of her shell and will help her learn the ropes of her new home. At this time, it still takes slow movements and her trusting you to be able to pet or cuddle Holly but she makes progress every day and will continue to improve in the right home. Some of her favorite things are: other dogs, meal time, dog beds, getting the zoomies in the yard and going on walks with her canine pals. As part of Holly's $250 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Holly is heartworm negative.
