About Rosco

Rosco is an energetic and playful 2-year-old, 75-lb Australian cattle dog and lab mix. He is in excellent health and requires a fair bit of exercise. He gets along with 9 out of 10 dogs and loves to wrestle and play with them. He can play for 6 to 10 hours a day with his dog friends! Rosco loves to play fetch and will bring the ball back to you every time. He is loyal, loves to please and is food motivated. He is great with kids and people of all ages. He does get rambunctious though, as most dogs his age can do, and his activity level can be overwhelming for some. He loves to snuggle up to his people and seeks out their affection. He is completely house trained. He walks well on a leash and was trained using a 'gentle leader.' He knows his manners and will sit, stay, come, drop and not eat his food until he is given permission to do so. Rosco has a very funny personality. He has a sense of humor and even enjoys hide and seek. He also has a strong personality and requires a firm hand and a strong voice from his owners. Rosco enjoys a treat once in a while and does not become possessive of them. We will occasionally remove the treat, and he allows us to do so without showing any aggression. He will flex his freedom every once in a while. If handled with a strong voice, he falls back in line quickly. Rosco is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm and flea and tick medications.
