About King

King is a friendly, happy-go-lucky little dude. He is happy to see people and other dogs and is not afraid of the big guys. He has a great energy level and it's hard to believe he is a senior. He even has good hearing and eyesight. King knows his name and responds well when you call him. He loves to go for walks, rides and loves to run in the yard. He has approximately 15 years of experience at being fully house trained and even has the cutest little potty dance to get your attention when he needs to go out if you don't see him sitting by the door. This handsome min-pin mix does well in a crate but doesn't really need one. He sleeps through the night and isn't the least bit destructive. He does best eating alone though if other dogs are near... as he will gently warn them what's his is his and they need not try to take any. It's probably because he eats soft food due to his teeth being 15 years old and that makes his food a very high value. He loves treats though and is very well behaved with them. King likes to get baths and be brushed and enjoys trotting around the yard. King is an independent little fella that is pretty low maintenance and prefers to lay in his own bed. He likes the company of others though and will come to you for attention, enjoying it on his terms. He loves rubs and scratches and likes to give your legs little kisses as you walk by. King can be a talker at times but responds very well to being asked to shush. He never tries to dart out the door or leave the yard. We have learned King isn't crazy about being picked up, held, or hugged and will let you know it's not his thing. Because of this we don't feel little children in the home is a good fit for him. King is a joy to have around and needs a place to call his castle. He might be a little older but doesn't act like it. So much so that we feel his motto is 'Long Live the King'!
