Collects vinyl. Bums cigarettes but doesn't smoke. He grew up with them and was very protective of their young son. Since being at rescue, he is very fearful and unsure of himself. He seeks reassurance and support by jumping up and wanted to be held. He is NOT a dog for any family. Mousse will need a firm, consistent guardian who will continue his socializing. He does have a tendency to fear snap so we are working through that but it is expected also with all of the change. He just really lacks confidence all around. He needs a lot of socializing and exposure. Due to his history and our experiences with him, although he has been phenomenal with their child, we recommend older children. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medical expenses incurred thus far: neuter pending - $160; DHPP - $10; Rabies - $25; Deworm - $20; Microchip -$10; Total vetting + food, bedding etc ) Adoption fee = $175 ----- Without support, we cannot continue to rescue dogs. Unfortunately many are hesitant to pay the minimal adoption fee when dogs can be found free anywhere. What they aren't prepared for is the vetting expense required and then the animals are not fixed and the reproduction surplus continues. Sponsoring a dog's adoption fee allows us to find them a home after being fully vetted, continue intaking and vetting, and continue baby steps towards 'fixing companion animal overpopulation'.
