About Selena

Selena is such a sweet loving girl. She is easily trained and very smart. She knows how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, high five, leave it, and speak. From around 6 months she has developed an aggressive behavior towards new people. She is very fond of males, but anyone that is new she gets scared and starts to bark. She has not bitten anyone, but I don't want it to get to that point. I suspect it to be fear aggression and protective aggression as her body language is stiff and her neck hair sticks up straight. We've attempted to socialize her more and she'll get used to someone but will start barking if they move too quickly. She also has anxiety if we leave her alone at home and she'll bark. I live in an apartment so it's not the ideal place for her. She has recently been dogsat by a friend and when left alone with him she was so well behaved and very sweet. Once I got home she started to bark at him again. I can't keep her any longer as she has made it difficult to work, or leave the house without her. I want her to go to an amazing home with enough space for her to run.
