BONDED PAIR MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER Please read the ENTIRE post, as most questions are answered. Bugs: 9 mos, black/white/brown, male chi/terrier mix, 7lbs 4oz. Very playful and sweet personality. Some play biting, which is normal puppy behavior. Gets along great with other small dogs. Still working on potty training, will need to continue in his new home. Honey: 2 1/2, fawn colored, female chi mix, 8lbs 11oz. Very timid at first, but super sweet. Plays great with Bugs and gets along well with other small dogs. Doesn't appear to be used to being held, we're working on it here - but loves to be pet. Has done very well with pottying outside. These two are bonded and they MUST be adopted together. Both are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped (with lifetime registration). We are requiring a fenced in yard for them due to their age and energy level. As they're both pretty timid (especially Honey), we're requiring any children in the home to be over 10. Transparency: our regular adoption fees are $300, which really only covers a fraction of the vetting that the pups receive before being adopted. Do the math and that's $600 for these two. I am already anticipating some negative reactions; but please know that as a volunteer only rescue, all money received is used for the dogs. We are only adopting within two hours of Tappahannock, VA. We expect the pair to be ready to go to their new home by 7/24. Application process includes calling vet and personal references, phone interview with potential adopters, and finally conducting a home visit to ensure a safe environment for the pups. Please note that adoptions are NOT first come first served; and are based solely on the best situation for the pups.
