About Prissy *PENDING*

**AOPTION PENDING** Prissy is guessed to be about 12 years old and weighs 5.5 lbs. Prissy was surrendered by her family because they could no longer care for her. This little crooked nosed baby is the sweetest little thing and has yet to meet a stranger. Her little white tipped tail is always wagging with joy. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home and we think she would do fine with or without other dogs in her new home. She is crate trained and is doing well with potty training- she does like to use pee pads in the house. She reportedly was terrorized by the children in her previous home, but she has done fantastic with her human foster brother so we think she would do ok with a child who is dog savvy and resfectful of her space. She has had 2 dental surgeries (one at the dental specialist due to a severely weakened jaw from tooth decay) and she currently has only 1 tooth. Now the rotten teeth have been removed the dentist says the bone in her jaw should start regenerating. In the meantime she needs to be allowed to heal properly- so we will not place her in high risk situation- like a home with a large rambunctious dog. Prissy cannot be fed anything hard or crunchy- like bones- and should remain on a soft diet indefinitely. Prissy also had a small mammary mass removed, which was benign. Prissy has been spayed, has had bloodwork, dental surgery, rabies and distemper vaccination, heartworm and tick born disease negative, and is microchipped. Prissy's adoption donation of $250 helps cover the cost of her medical care. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving time from Romeoville, IL.
