About Elvis

Meet Elvis! Elvis came to us with Zeke and Zoey when their owner passed away and the immediate family could no longer care for them. Elvis is guessed to be about 8 years old and weighs 4.5 lb (we are working on getting him to 5 lbs). Elvis is nervous in new situations, but is a sweet boy. He will benefit from an adopter who will take time to let him warm up on his terms. He gets along with the other small dogs in his foster home and we think he would do best in a home with another doggie to keep him company.. He likes to lick your arm or hand and likes to groom his brother, Zeke, by licking his earw (Zeke is not a fan), Elvis is crate trained and is doing well with potty training when taken out on a regular basis, but he has had accidents in the house. He doesn't have much experience with walking on a leash, so his leash skills need work. He hates brooms and when we open new garbage bags to put in the trash container. Elvis is looking for an all adult home, preferably with chihuahua experience. He has been neutered, he received an extensive dental cleaning with extractions, has received his rabies and distemper vaccinations, is heartworm negative, had bloodwork done and is microchipped. Elvis' adoption donation of $300 helps cover the cost of his medical care. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL.
